This was my very first mixed-media piece (circa 2001) using photography, painting and a metal frame. A really good friend asked me if I had meant to make the  metal look like the pier. I hadnt realized I had done that, and from that point forward, made the metal extension the signature for my work! My work has definitely evolved since then!
